What this is

A premium, builder-first AI coding competition that feels credible to top technical builders, attractive to sponsors, and compelling to watch live.

Technical credibility

Not just a hidden LeetCode test. A format that surfaces strong builders and their authentic workflows under real pressure, culminating in a live streamed showdown.

All tools allowed

Bring whatever tools you trust. You have 90 minutes to build and submit once the secret challenge is revealed at kickoff. Final submissions must run standalone.

$1,000+ Prize Pool

Compete for a share of a growing cash prize pool, plus exclusive premium developer tools and sponsor hardware.

How it works

Vibe Code Cup is easy to enter and hard to win. Sign up, show up live, get the challenge, build fast, and submit your best work.

Sign up and join live

Registration is open to anyone. On event day, join the livestream and Discord to get the challenge live with everyone else.

The prompt drops at kickoff

No advance prep. The challenge is revealed live, and competitors get the prompt plus a sample submission at the same time.

Bring whatever tools you trust

This is a no-holds-barred build competition. AI tools, editors, terminals, design help, custom workflows — whatever makes you fastest.

One build window. One submission.

You get one timed window to build and ship your entry, then submit it to the competition GitHub repo. No rounds. No second chances.

Tested against the field

After submissions close, entries go through a scalable judging process designed to compare them against each other in a way that is serious under the hood and entertaining to follow.

One challenge. One clock. One submission. Then the results go live.

Open Registration

Registration is fully open to builders everywhere. Anyone can join online, and we may also host an in-person event in San Francisco alongside it. Bring your tools, show your workflow, and build under pressure.

Clear workflows

We want to see how you build, debug, and ship when the clock is ticking.

Interesting tool stacks

Cursor, Windsurf, pure Vim, or something custom. Use what makes you fastest.

Ship-ready taste

It has to work, but it also has to look good. We index high on execution quality.

For viewers

Watch the challenge drop, the leaderboard move, and the top entries fight for the win.

Challenge reveal

The moment everyone sees the problem for the first time.

Workflow on display

See what workflows and tools are actually effective, and what the future of competitive coding looks like with AI.

Final showdown

Entertaining live results, post-match analysis, and athlete interviews with the top builders.
